I would love to win a spot! I did Ever After last year it was amazing so to do it again will be fantastic with the line up if teachers. I love you art and I think Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell would be a lovely combination!

  2. Thank you for the opportunity to win a spot in Ever After and your Foundation to Finish class. I would combine Moana and Belle. I like Moana’s connection to the ocean, her fierce determination to follow her dreams, and her bravery in the face of adversity. For Belle, I like her intelligence, kindness, and her ability to see past a person’s facade into their heart.

  3. I would combine Tinkerbell for her grit and determination with Alice in Wonderland’s sense of adventure!! Thanks!!

  4. This is a tough one. I hope it’s OK to use characters from myth as well as fairytale. I would combine the goddess Athena with the Goddess Hel. One is an intellect and the other is a badass, and both are warriors. What I would want to retain if I could is the strategic mind and stamina that could help me to overcome the obstacles in life that I face.

BTW, thank you so much for the opportunity to win a spot in this class. I’ve been getting your newsletter for awhile and am a big fan of your art. πŸ™‚

  5. It would be so awesome to win a space in this course. Especially since it’s the only way I can take it! I think I would have to combine Merida for her red hair and determination/stubbornness, and Belle for her love of life, literature, and of course her beast. Thank you so much for the chance to win.

  6. How awesome! I would absolutely LOVE to win this. So many amazing artists in one spot. I would put the little mermaid with the sea witch. I’d keep Ariel’s kindness and with the sea witches powers and strength so that she could overcome cruelty done to the sea.

  7. I would combine Snow White and Cinderella and keep Snow Whites kindness and compassion for animals and Cinderella’s ability to endure difficult times.

  8. Oohm that’s a tricky one… 2 characters blended and strengths of each to keep… ok, Merida from Brave for her fierce determination and self confidence, and Tinkerbell for being able to make magic and help other’s dreams come true. Thanks for the opportunity!

  9. Debbie Merhege

I would combine Beauty and the Beast. She’s strong and kind, he’s stubborn, but has a good heart. I’d make a girl beast that’s pretty and beastly, strong and kind and ready to kick butt when needed! Thanks for a chance to win a spot!

  10. Suzanne H. Eller

I’d combine Alice and her curiosity with Snow White and her kindness. I think these are the best qualities of an interesting person.

  11. Barbara Burkard

Got so excited I forgot to leave my two characters!!! Little red and little mermaid! Can never have too much red!!

  12. Barbara Burkard

The opportunities for a magical time abounds!! Thank you for being a participant!

  13. Jackie P Neal

hmmmmm…you have me thinking real hard, but I don’t know if I am clever enough to mix the two characters as you suggest! What two would you do? Roberta? I might be able to follow your lead!
Thanks so much for this chance, keeping my fingers crossed as I enjoy your teaching!!
ps followed and tweeted as requested! “)

  14. Holly Klingensmith

Shared on Facebook and a follower on Facebook.
I would combine Bambi, the first story I fell in love with and red riding hood. Both had to push forward and survive after losing a loved one.

  15. I would combine Puss in Boots (brothers Grimm) with Cheshire cat in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. My character would be a very clever cat who will be able to disappear and reappear at will and able to change his shape.

  16. I would combine the ingenuity and bravery of Gretel with the justice of Mother Holle. I am particularly interested in the idea that fairy tales are the folk memories of earlier, female-centred religions.

  17. It is hard to imagine but I would like to combine Tinkerbell and Dumbledore (Harry Potter isn’t a real fairytale but it is in Ever After so guessed I could use it’s caracters for this). I would combine these two because they both want to make their world a better place and I like the wisdom of Dumbledore combined with pixie dust…maybe coming out of his beard!!! πŸ™‚

  18. Maybe combine Snow White and Little Red Riding hood. They are both caring characters

  19. Oh my gosh this actually made me stop and think for a minute~~ Glenda the good witch from Wizard of Oz and Alice from Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burtons version) love them both! Thank you for this wonderful opportunity this will be amazing with the wonderful teachers!

  20. I’d like to combine the Billy Goats Gruff with Snow White… Just to have the dwarf tromping over the troll’s bridge!

  21. I oculd combine the adventure and compassion of LIttle Red Riding Hood (going through the forest to serve) and The Little Red Hen who is a character of action. I like the combination of compassion and action! Thanks for the opportunity of win a spot in your two offerings! All the best!

  22. That’s a gough one! Maybe combine a pegasus with Rapunzel so she could escape her tower whenever she wanted to (and she would have a beautiful mane!). πŸ™‚

  23. Jacklyn Young

What an interesting question! I would combine the loving heart and courage of Belle with the daring and defiant strength of Mulan.

  24. Would love to win. Joined newsletter shared on Facebook and followed you on fb and instagram.

  25. I’ve loved reading everyone’s answers! I think I would combine Cinderella’s kind heart and hard working nature with Peter Pan’s adventurous spirit.

  26. Ashleigh Dawn

The little mermaid Arial would be one character I would mix with Malificent (from newest movie). Both share similar traits but I love that they could share both underwater swimming and magical flying. Plus the original Arial story, she doesn’t find love and so in both cases they have to endure life as strong woman on their own. I like that, even though I’m a Romantic and married the love of my life I still believe girls should learn to be strong and independent, trusting in their own unique beauty.

  27. Roberta, what a great question!!
I think that Alice (in Wonderland) would make a great freak team with Pippi Longstocking, I love them both))
Another idea that came up- Little Red Riding Hood and Dorothy (The wizard of Oz) will make some fun adventures!
Thank you for this question, I had fun thinking about it))

  28. If I combined two fairy tale characters, I would pick Snow White for her innocent nature and Mary Poppins for her independence. I am not sure how the mash-up would work though!

  29. Cheryl sheehan

I think combining Thumbelina and Little Red Riding Hood would be interesting! That way a tiny granddaughter can visit her loved grandmother! The combined character will remain small and keep the love of her family.

  30. Debbie Keel Riddle

I would love to see Bellatrix La Strange combined with Maleficent….. Keep Maleficents awesomeness with a little more weirdness of Bellatrix. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I hope this posts since I am having a heck of a time getting this to work.

  31. This class looks amazing. A wonderful group of teachers.
i am still sort of new to the art world so could use this. I love Belle.

  32. Hi πŸ™‚ thank you so much for the opportunity to win a spot πŸ™‚ <3
I think Jack and the beanstalk and Peter Pan would make a great team! πŸ™‚

  33. Hi, I’ve shared on Facebook (which uses my “regular” email address) and signed up for your newsletter (which uses my “artsy” email address)! I’m not really sure what fairy tale characters I’d put together. I’m not so much “into” fairy tales as I am in learning new things that help with my art. So I’m not really sure how to answer your challenge question!

  34. I would love to win a spot on the Ever After 2017 class, if I could combine two characters I would want Repunzel & little red riding hood… Keep all of little red riding hoods features & strengths and Repunzels. Long long hair would be black!

  35. Vanessa Cabrera

I would combine Ariel and Merida. What a powerful mermaid who is so brave and independent!! I guess that’s what I would love to be!! LOL

  36. leslie kenreich

I would love to see Snow White and Cinderella combined for their beauty and strength being saved by Thor in all his glory!! Thank you for a chance to win a spot-I don’t know how to tag you-I’m not too good with computer stuff being an elderly (very-LOL!) lady.

  37. Michelle Liptak

I would put Ariel with Mulan. They remind me of girls – I’ve watched both Disney movies more times than I count with each of them :). I would mix the dreamer and believer in Ariel with the brave, fighter in Mulan.

  38. I had such fun thinking about this idea. I would choose the Ariel and Hermione Granger. A magic mermaid sounds like fun!

  39. Susanne Timmerman

Oh wow, I love this!! So nice to have found you πŸ™‚
I would like to see a mix of Cinderella and The Ugly Duckling (two stories that have a special meaning for me), with the fairy godmother of Cinderella doing her lovely Bibbity Bobbity Boo thingy <3

  40. I would put Anna from Frozen together with Ariel from Little Mermaid. Ariel needs a lot of new backbone (oh let’s completely change who I am to make a man love me) . Anna is the perfect person to lend her some:))

  41. Wow! I really don’t want to miss out on this one. Texture is my thing! Visual, Tangible, I love it all!
Your question is really thought provoking. Toy Story is more my vibe and Bambi was the first one to truly affect me as a child, so I’d put those two together. The Toys could be lost in the woods during a camping adventure and Bambi, Thumper and Flower could help them all back to their camp. πŸ™‚ Hahahaha! Shared and Followed on Facebook and Instagram.

  42. I would combine tinkerbell and pippi longstocking. So this would be a fairy with magic powers who can fly but also she can lift a horse. And knows how to survive on her own! What fun would that be 😊 I am following you on instagram under my nickname: kokaro

  43. I would love to see Alice and Cinderella combined, keeping Alice’s courage. I already follow you on FB so I followed you on Instagram and tweeted about EverAfter, thanks!

  44. Sandy Dawkins

Hmm, that’s tough and very interesting to ponder. πŸ˜‰ I guess I’d combine Elsa and Merida. That way Elsa would have the self confidence to control her powers. πŸ™‚

  45. I would combine Mulan and Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) so that she (my new heroine) would be smart, well read, confident, and independent. She would be a risk taker but smart enough to know when the risk was worth it.

  46. I would combine Hansel with The Beast…. give that old granny witch quite a shock when she tries to throw him in the oven!

  47. Marcie Aspras

I would combine Alice in Wonderland for her great adventures and Belle of Beauty and the Beast for her ability to look at people for who they are and not how they look. (If I added a third, it would be Sleeping Beauty for her ability to sleep!!! Lol). I signed up for newsletter and posted to Facebook.

  48. I would combine Ariel for her child-like wonder at the human world and Shrek for his understanding that he has layers. So does that mean I’m a mermaid ogre or and ogre mermaid? Lol

  49. Shared on my FB page, signed up to your newsletter & following you on Instagram. I would combine the fairy tales Beauty and the Beast with Cinderella, Belle could help Cinderella with her nasty sisters and Cinderella could be a good friend for Belle, both stories end up with their dreams coming true. I would love to work on my artistic style in this amazing course. Would love to win a spot. Thanks for the chance!

  50. I qouls combine peter pan with tinkerbell and their super character would be super impish and concorde aircraft flying speed

  51. Rachel Evans-White

I would combine the dormouse from Alice in Wonderland with the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood and have a super-cute sleepy wolf πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

  52. Hi Roberta! What a great find…I’m thinking about which two characters merge from this morning, seriously! Still haven’t figured out…I would say Alice because I love the madness within and Coraline…more or less for the same reason!

  53. Harry Potter and Viki from How to train your dragon. I would defenitly keep all the magic and add some dragons to it. I love the challenge!

  54. Heather Mader

Ha ha This is a fun question! When I was little I loved the Three Billy Goats Gruff and now as an adult I love Harry Potter, so how to combine the two stories? I guess the most obvious answer would be to make a Dumbledore goat. <3 Dumblegoat would be courageous, both wise and clever, and have a huge heart.

  55. Dear Roberta, Ever After and Foundation to Finish both look amazing courses. Please can I be entered into the giveaways, I have followed all of the steps. As for the question it is a very tricky one! I think I will choose Sleeping Beauty to wake up to a handsome Prince! and Alice in Wonderland to have lots of Adventures and talk to white rabbits πŸ™‚

  56. I think I’d like to combine Merrida with Cinderella! She’d fit the slipper, but the prince would fall in love with her for her personality and wit, not just her pretty face.

I’ve shared, and liked and all the things so fingers crossed πŸ˜€

  57. I would combine Alice (from Alice in Wonderland) with Belle from Beauty and the Beast because those are my two favorite fairy tales and I love how strong and brave both characters are. I’d want to keep Alice’s curiosity and Belle’s ability to see beyond appearances.

  58. Inge van der Zanden Hendrikx

My friend Erika Espinola would like to win, but is so enthusiastic about the course that she got me al excited. I would like to have a go myself now! I’m a newbe at art, but already hooked on texture, so seeing your post about texture gets me even more excited. I would like a ‘good’ fairy figure with a bit of naughtyness or an unexpected edge, but i have no specific fairy figures in mind. Do you have any ideas?

  59. Hi! I think the trouble in finding the comment section might be in the fact that your front page shows you whole article, therefor people might not know they have to actually click th title to access the comment section :).

  60. I am so excited to join Ever After again this year and to win a spot would be even better. I cannot choose between fairy tails as they all have such varied lessons to teach if one is open to learn from them.

  61. Hi Roberta. I can’t wait for your lesson. I’d probably combine Snow White and Cinderella. Both came from terrible parentage but overcame while staying sweet and married the Prince. The superpower would be perseverance. BTW< I already follow you on Instagram- love your art for years.

    1. You will for sure be in my contest draw for Foundation to Finish as well Ruth! I will make sure everyone who already follows is in. xo! Thank you!

  62. I would combine Alice in Wonderland for her curiosity and Beauty for her ability to see beyond appearences. I shared on Twitter, signed up for your newsletter and followed you in Instagram!

  63. Eleni Sgouridou

I’d like to combine Pippi Longstocking and Belle from ‘Beauty and the Beast’. And I’d like to keep Pippi’s loyalty, inventivity, uniqueness and strength, and Belle’s patience and courage. That would be my super character!
I shared and followed you, and I’m hoping to get a chance to learn from you. I enjoyed this course last year, and I’d love to win a space in the new one! Thank you so much for the opportunity! ❀️❀️❀️

  64. I have followed you on instagram and Facebook. πŸ™‚ And shared your blog on Twitter. I would love to be part of Ever After, your art is amazing and I love fairy tales! <3

It's a really interesting question to answer. I think I might combine Elsa from Frozen with Tinkerbell. This character would have Elsas confidence and independence combined with Tink's curiousity and energy. Though I almost feel like I would mess up two lovely characters, lol. But it would be an interesting combination, I think. πŸ™‚

  65. it waoh my, it was like a maize trying to figure out how to post a comment, lol! I would love a chance to win a spot, Tweeted this and tagged you, and tried to sign up for your newsletter. Happy to meet new artists! and you happen to be doing my favorite fairy tale!

    1. Sorry Betty! Was it because you had to fill out a form? WordPress is different from blogger eeeekkkk. Sorry about that. Glad you made it!

  66. Jennifer Daniels

I would be Maleficent and Genie from Aladdin. The Angelina Jolie and Robin Williams versions. I’d be a badass nature loving fairy, with a crazy sense of humor and the power to grant wishes like Genie.

  67. I would love to win a spot! I would combine Goldilocks with Pippi Longstockings because that would combine my love of bears and a quirky personality!

  68. This is wonderful!! I would combine Belle – keep her curiosity and Alice in Wonderland and keep her determination.

  69. Sharred! And following your Facebook page. Love your style and look forward to your lesson in Ever After!

  70. Red Riding Hood is my favorite fairy tale right now! I have watched a movie, and read some rewrites of the story. I would combine Red and Meridia from Brave πŸ™‚ A brave girl on her path πŸ˜‰ Thanks for a chance to win!

  71. If I could combine two fairytale characters it would be PeterPan to fly around and Pippi Longstocking with the ability to let so much color and fantasy in her life!

  72. Texture is so exciting. Following you on Instagram and FB. Thanks for the opportunity to enter for your prizes.

  73. I would love to meet you in Ever AFter 2, thanks for the chance to win a spot! If I had to combine two characters of fairy tales, it probably would be a witch (so many!) and one of our more sweet characters, like jasmine, snowwhite, goldilocks etc. I think we all need more witchyness, to come alive and not only learn how to be sweet and obedient!

  74. I hope this is where I comment. I’d like to combine Snow White and Cinderella. I love them both for different reasons.

  75. Shared on FB and I now follow you on FB as well as Instagram.
If I was to combine 2 fairy tale characters it would be Little My from Moomin and Tingeling from Peter Pan. The new character would keep Tingeing’s ability to fly and make magic, and Little My’s temper and righteousness.

  76. Maribe Losada

Shared on Facebook. Signed for your newsletter.
If I could combine two fairytale characters they would be Cinderella and Tinkerbell. I love both. Thank you so much for the oppotunity to win a spot.

  77. Teri Buczkowski

Shared signed up and followed you on Instagram. Your question is hard. I would combine Meridia and Cinderella. I think Cinderella needs more confidence and take no shit trait that Meridia has so that her nasty step sisters have no control over her.

  78. I can’t wait for this class to start πŸ™‚ thank you for the opportunity to win a spot. shared everywhere πŸ™‚ and following you everywhere, awesome art!!! so glad i found you. I would combine sleeping beauty (I have just been diagnosed with Lupus and so sleeping is a big thing in my life right now) but I would like to go on wonderful adventures with Alice in Wonderland – while not having to exert myself too much physically πŸ™‚

  79. Hi, this is Pinar,
I really loved your style! This collaborated course introduce us so many lovely teachers with unique styles.. looking forward for it! and I shared and followed btw;)
